In August 2020, Sarah Safford, dancer, lyricist, poet, artist and retired teacher logged onto Zoom to watch the premier of Wooden Nickels, a mixed-reality performance written and directed by Devorah Medwin.

So moved by her experience, she contacted Bevival's impresario-in-chief, Caren Martineau with an offer to collaborate."After a series of conversations about what was at stake, recalled Martineau, we jumped in. and music then asked Breezy Ballad to lay down the 'breakout' and mix the final audio track.” Directing and editing the video added another facet to the project for Martineau."As with all of Bevival's work," said Sarah Safford, "music is an invitation to have a positive conversation about a difficult topic. Socializing and sharing music is one way to help ease the fear, anxiety, and stigma about our last (final) taboo."
